Broadcasts

Broadcasts let you send WhatsApp template messages in bulk and track delivery performance.

Where to Find This

  • Campaigns → Broadcasts in the sidebar.

What You Need Before You Start

  • A connected WhatsApp Business account.
  • At least one approved template.
  • Contacts inside Socialone or a CSV file with phone numbers.

Step 1: Pick Account & Template

Start from: Campaigns → Broadcasts, or Contacts page

  1. Go to Broadcasts and click New Broadcast. Alternatively, open Contacts, select one or more contacts, and click Send Broadcast — the modal opens with those contacts pre-selected.
  2. Select the WhatsApp account you want to send from.
  3. Choose an approved template (search by name).

If you pick a Flow Template (a template with a Flow button), your recipients will tap a button and continue the conversation inside a WhatsApp Flow form.

Step 2: Pick Recipients

  • Filter Contacts: build a segment from your contacts.
  • CSV Upload: upload a CSV file when you already have a list.

Contact Filters

  • Created date, customer type, lifecycle stage.
  • Location (top cities) and tags.
  • Advanced: company name, industry, company size, job title.
  • Custom fields (where configured).
  • Use Check Selection to preview recipients and valid numbers.

CSV Upload

  • Required columns: name, country_code, phone_number.
  • Add columns 1, 2, 3 to match template variables.
  • Download the sample CSV from the uploader if needed.

Step 3: Map Variables

  • If your template uses variables, map each one before sending.
  • Choose Contact Field or Static Value for each variable.

If your template has no variables, this step is skipped automatically.

Step 4: Send or Schedule

  • Send now, or schedule a future date/time.
  • Review the quick summary before confirming.

Step 5: Track Delivery

  • Open the Broadcasts list to see sent, delivered, read, and failed counts.
  • Use Email report to send the summary to your inbox.
  • Use Resend failed if some recipients did not receive the message.

Common Blockers & Fixes

  • Template not selectable: the template is not approved or not linked to the selected WhatsApp account.
  • Next button disabled in Recipients: run Check Selection or finish variable mapping.
  • CSV upload error: file must be CSV and include name, country_code, phone_number.
  • Scheduled time error: select a future time.
  • Low delivery/read: review delivery issues and template quality.
